Equipment

  • 1 large mixing bowl

  • 4 medium bowls

  • medium pot

  • sieve

  • 9″ square tin, lined

Ingredients

Instructions

1
Preheat your oven to 180C/160C fan.
2
For the brownie batter, place the chocolate and butter into a bowl set over a pot of simmering water. Once melted, set aside to cool slightly.
3
In a mixing bowl, whisk the eggs and sugar together until creamy.
4
Add the warm melted chocolate and butter. Combine.
5
Add the sieved flour & cocoa. Mix.
6
Spoon the batter into a lined 9″ square tin and pop into the preheated oven and bake for 25/30mins.
7
Remove and allow to cool to room temperature then place in the fridge for 1 hour to firm up.
8
Once cold, cut the brownie into 8 equal pieces.
9
To decorate, melt the white chocolate in a bowl set over a pot of gently simmering water.
10
Divide this melted chocolate between three bowls and add a drop of food colouring gel into each one. Stir to combine.
11
Dip the top of each brownie into the coloured chocolate of your choice and pop on a pair of spooky eyeballs & enjoy.

Notes

Use food colouring gel/paste not liquid colouring for two reasons.
1. The colour with gel is much better.

2. Sometimes using food colouring liquid can cause your chocolate to seize up and go hard.
